Blurring the [fast food] lines

Think of the other Big 2 fast food places...does Burger King or McDonald's offer two or three tasty soup choices? Nope. Do they let you add all the extra goop you want to your ice cream? Uh-uh. Do they serve you at your table? Rarely.
Culver's does blur the lines between fast food and your typical sit-down food. And it is within this grey area that Culver's has found a niche. Oh, and it doesn't hurt to serve up burgers fried in searing hot peanut oil, either. I don't know how many readers remember eating a burger at Rentschler's truck stop here in Sioux Falls, but they were just as delicious and, I suspect, prepared the same way.
My vote for best "fast food" burger definitely goes to these guys. My decision on this was solidified after eating my first double cheeseburger from here. I think the difference is that with a single patty, the bun soaks up alot of those oh-so-necessary meat juices. But with a double burger, this carnivore's delight increases two-fold!
