I would disagree with the scam theory. Firehouse Underground does not use anyone. The managers are two of the most influencial, caring, loving and God fearing people. There hearts are open to being guided by the love of Christ and sharing that love with all who come down to the firehouse. It is a place where those who are lonely, homeless (spiritually and physically) can go and feel wanted. God is down there, he is working through Sue and Mike and their volunteers. This is as real as it gets! Sue and Mike are doing the great commission for which christians have been called. They are doing as Christ has shown them; reaching out to the lost and telling them about Christs love. So this is no scam this truely is God's plan, may the Lord help you all realize you have a safe place to go and somewhere to feel loved by an amazing God and his people.

If you are looking for a place to call your home away from home, possibly get a cup'a'jo, hang out with friends, play games, and watch some FREE live music on selected nights, make sure that you make it down to the Firehouse Underground. Its bold architecture, inviting lighting, and tasteful music along with FREE popcorn and water lets people know that it's not about the money, but about getting together with others around the area to make this city a better place by offering God-based values to a place that was otherwise void of any positive influence; so make sure you check it out before it's too late and you didn't get your FREE popcorn!

The Firehouse Underground is a great place to be yourself and kick back with a few Italian Sodas and some home-made puppy chow. The Firehouse contains a wonderful mood and you always feel welcome.

the firehouse underground is a unique and wonderful place. It is a place for spiritual uplifting and for people to find a place of belonging and is run by very loving people who feel called into this "ministry". Praise God for people like Sue and Mike.
