I have frequented Great Plains a number of times now and I can't recommend it enough! Though I reside in Sioux Falls I am an avid traveler (and, admittedly, a "coffee snob"), and for what it is worth, I have yet to find a better shot of espresso or cup of coffee. You won't find an automato-push a button-out comes a latte machine here, but once you taste their lattes, you will understand what you are waiting for.
When I do go out of town, I usually bring along a half pound or so of their coffee (I would recommend their Kenya). My coffee from there has always been extremely fresh. I have spoke with their roaster on a few occasions and he seems exceedingly knowledgeable and helpful in informing me about the different kinds of coffee beans they offer.
While there are many coffee shops in Sioux Falls, Great Plains has exceeded my expectations above and beyond what I would ever expect or hope for. Don't even try and compare them to Starbucks, they are in a league of their own.
