Great Food and Wonderful Margueritas Report Abuse
I highly recommend the baked cheese tortellini and the Italian Frozen Marguerita. I know you will not be disappointed! The taramisu is out of this world!!

Great for takeout! Report Abuse
Johnny Carino's knows how to do take out. You place your order from home, drive to the restaurant, and they bring your order right out to you! They also include loaves of bread (you can request more than the typical one loaf) and oil to dip it in.

We've ate at Johnny Carino's before, but I much prefer to pick it up and eat it at home because they do it so well! They have excellent Chicken Alfredo (much more flavorful than Olive Gardens) and their Chicken Italian Nachos are a great treat! I've tried a couple dishes with a red sauce and wasn't as impressed- their red sauce dishes tend to be salty or spicy. But, their great alfredo sauce keeps me and my husband visiting again and again!

Love it, Love it, Love it! Report Abuse
There is something on this menu for everyone- pasta, steak, seafood...all at great prices. The herb infused dipping oil with roasted garlic and the homemade bread go great with a bottle of wine and a couple of their yummy entrees. We try to go after the lunch or dinner rush for the best food and service and have not gone wrong yet. Buon appetito!

Good Food Great Price Report Abuse
A nice sit down atmosphere with meals under $10, which is hard to find these days. I especially recommend the Johnny's Skillet. Only complaint my fiance didn't like the belini she ordered.

The place for Italian Report Abuse
A great place to relax and enjoy great food in a family freindly Italian restaurant.

Good food. Report Abuse
Definately not my fav in town, I'll abstain from name dropping (I'm horrible about doing that). The place is a bit spendy, way too cramped during rush periods, but the food is excellant. If you have a couple hours to kill, by all means, enjoy.

Unimpressive Report Abuse
I have eaten here twice and have been dissappointed both times. Once, my dish was too salty, and I mean TOO salty, like they put salt in the sauce instead of sugar (it was the Vodka sauce, normally my favorite at other restaurants). When I mentioned it to my waiter, he said - Yes, someone else mentioned it last week. And that was it! No offer to bring me something else or that he'd mention it to the chef.

Another time, one of my friend's had a drink at the bar that she liked while we were waiting to be seated. She ordered another from the table and that one was horrible! When we mentioned it to the waiter, hoping for a different drink, or at least another try on that one, he said there was nothing he could do - that's just the way the drink is. So, unfortunately, I've had trouble with the wait staff, the bar, and the kitchen!

I'm baffled Report Abuse
What is worse than a restaurant that is always bad? One that can be both good and bad. That is Johnny Carino's. They get your hopes up only to have your evening ruined by serving food that is so substandard that McDonald's starts to look good. We ordered takeout. The Italian nachos without olives and jalapenos. We got nachos with jalapenos and no cheese sauce. I had to make my own alfredo to put on them. The chicken alfredo was way too salty, but the bowtie pasta was good. Two out of three isn't good enough. I'm done with Johnny Carino's. I don't have money to waste.

Un-inspired and Un-original Report Abuse
Just another Olive Garden style knock-off, which means boring and uninspired. This is not real Italian food. No better than a Stouffers frozen dinner. My entree was sloppily prepared and heavily salted, making it almost inedible. I managed it down with some of their fresh bread, which was actually quitegood.

The service was very good. Friendly and efficient staff.
