An American Lunch Report Abuse
I think the atmosphere at Marlin's epitomizes what an American Diner should be. Full of regulars, lots of plates, glasses and silverware clinking & that homey feeling you get when you eat someplace that doesn't have a 2-story ceiling.

Do ya like truck stop food? This is the only place to get it. Flying J is okay, but it's a little too schmaltzy for a truckstop. Atmosphere, character...even charm. All those apply to Marlin's.

Large portions served with little waiting. I like sandwiches that are buoyant in gravy - they got'em there. At least 4 varieties. And your soda's gonna come in a quart jar with lotsa ice, so make sure the bladder's empty before you start!

You gotta love a place decked out in corrugated tin. Nuclear fallout? Gotcha covered.

This place rules! Report Abuse
My quest for a good hot beef/turkey combination is over! Huge sandwich with two huge scoops of mashed potatoes, lots of gravy! I'm too impressed by this plate to try anything else, but this is easily a 5 start place in my opinion.

Most sandwiches and entrees are $5.99 (including my fav), and the taste is great. I dont know a place in town I can get more full for so little money. I love the jar glasses in which they serve their drinks.

Great Place to Eat Lunch Report Abuse
Good food, reasonably priced, and excellent service. They have good daily specials you can always count on. They have a diner style atmosphere with roadhouse styple. They have a nice salad bar which impressed me for a small dinner. One of the best places to eat out on the north side of town. I definately reccomend checking this place out.

Nothing special Report Abuse
It seems a plate full of hash browns or french fries keeps alot of people happy. Average food, not sure of the decor or cleanliness of the place.

bad ribs Report Abuse
i went there, because i had heard they served ribs. they do. however, there was virturally no smoke taste, zero rub used, and they were not tender at all. the salad bar was ok, and the place was full of smokers. decor was interesting, but none of this would want to make me eat there again. the owners of this place are best known for serving food to prisoners. after eating here, i will be sure to be a law abiding citizen, so i wont have to eat there stuff again.
